Propel Career Academy is an accredited trade school located in San Antonio, TX. Our goal is to provide individuals, with any level of experience, the opportunity to start or advance their career in the electrical, welding, or technology fields. Propel offers hands-on training in our facility and is a certified testing center for HI-SET, TEA, and NCCER Assessments.

Welding Morning

5:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Enrollment Periods
Enrollment periods are the two calendar weeks prior to the first day of classes for each program term.
Office Hours
Office hours are 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday, except on school holidays and scheduled closures.
Daily Class Schedule
Morning students will attend class Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
Afternoon students will attend class Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
For both morning and afternoon sessions, a ten-minute break will be taken during the last ten minutes of each hour.
Evening students will attend class Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
For evening students, there will be no designated mealtime, and a ten-minute break will be taken during the last ten minutes of each hour.

Accredidations & Approvals
Propel Career Academy has been accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research since 2019 as an Accredited Training Sponsor.
Propel Career Academy Apprenticeship program has been accredited with the DOL Office of Apprenticeship since 2019.
Propel Career Academy Apprenticeship program has also been accredited with the Texas Department of Licensing for Electrical Apprenticeship since 2019.
Propel Career Academy is accredited by the Texas Department of Licensing as a Continuing Education and Electrical Continuing Education Provider.
Propel Career Academy is also an NC3 accredited to deliver NC3 curriculum and programs. Propel Career Academy is a BICSI accredited training provider.
Propel Career Academy offers in house financing for students. Financing does not involve credit checks and offers payment plan terms from 1-3 years.
Financial Assistance
At Propel Career Academy, we believe that anyone should be able to access a good, solid trade education. That’s why we’ve setup multiple options to cover the cost of that education.
Propel Career Academy offers:
- Pay in Full: Take care of your tuition up front with a single payment.
- Payment Plans: Spread the cost over 1 to 3 years with affordable monthly payments.
- Scholarships Available: Apply for scholarships that are applied directly to your Propel tuition.
Facilities & Equipment
Propel Career Academy’s facility is 50,000 sq. ft. with classrooms and hands on lab/work space.
The facility utilizes Greenlee Green Apple Labs tools and equipment for hands on instruction. The facility has 8 hands on training workstations and four assessment computer stations for proctored exams.
