Hands-On Welding Training
The best way to learn welding is under the hood, with an arc in front of you. Our San Antonio welding classes put you in the shop from the start, using quality tools and working alongside experienced instructors.
Our program follows an NCCER-based curriculum, so you learn the same standards used on commercial jobsites. You'll build your skills one step at a time, from safety and setup to laying clean, consistent welds. The goal is simple: to have you ready to work when you finish.
Safety from day one
Welding takes skill, but it starts with safety. Before you strike your first arc, you'll learn how to protect yourself, your equipment, and the people working around you.
Safe habits are built into every part of our training, from proper gear and ventilation to reading the jobsite and handling equipment with care. Employers want welders who work safely and follow jobsite expectations, and that's exactly how we train. Our students often tell us the focus on safety is one of the things that stood out most.
Start your welding career
Welding is a skilled trade that's needed in construction, manufacturing, and commercial facilities everywhere. Our next class starts January 25, 2027.
Whether you're new to the trades or ready for a career change, Propel can help you build the skills, confidence, and work habits employers look for. Request information to learn more about the program, or start your application today to reserve your spot in the January class.
Class schedule and start dates
Our welding program is a 10-month program, with classes Monday through Friday in four-hour shifts at our San Antonio campus. Each class starts together and moves through the program as one group, so you train alongside the same classmates from start to finish.
